We truly believe that creating an amazing wedding experience for you comes down to one very important detail. Getting to know each other!

The Story
I Choose You Events was founded in 2018 by Owner, Jaimi Weatherspoon (That's me!). I spent 10 years specializing in Visual storytelling…you know, photographing weddings! I truly loved it, and all of my experience working with couples, capturing details, and building relationships with vendors assisted me in growing I Choose You events.
Together with my family we built the family owned & run business that you are considering today!
Often, I am asked why I made this career change, and the truth is while I truly loved capturing weddings, at heart, I am a detailed oriented person. I find comfort in fixing problems and working through logistics. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to find what truly makes your heart beat a little faster (for all the right reasons). I'm lucky to have found my place. Planning weddings allows me to put all my best skills to use.
1. I am a people person. I love working with others, and I love talking!!!
2. I'm a details & Information person. I like things to be laid out and to make sense. Some would say I'm a little OCD. Horrible trait in many places...best trait ever as a wedding planner.
3. I LOVE to help. I genuinely want people to be happy, and I love working to bring the smiles!
4. I have an eye for design & details. When you mix artist with planning...well the outcome is nothing short of amazing. (in my opinion)
5. I love to create. This ties together #1-4. I enjoy removing stress, curating a vision, and then using my hands and mind to bring all of that together, so that you love every stage of your planning experience.
Some things I love that have nothing to do with anything!!!
1. Cruises! Yes!!!! Take me all the places.
2. Fountain soda over nugget ice, or Taco bell Pepsi.
3. Candles, Epsom salt and baths. Allllll the things that promote a little calm.
4. True crime/docu series. I'm a junkie. But I'm running out of things to watch. Pod casts I guess is my next stop. lol.
5. sleep. love to sleep.
6. Last...I love rain. (Not at weddings)!!!
